I understand that all categories will have multiple practices. All practices will be held in different locations depending on your directors’ instructions.

I also understand there will be a Picture Day for all categories and if you are absent for picture day your picture will not be included in the Riverland Newspaper unless arrangements are made between you and the Riverland newspaper.

There will be a professional Interview done for Queen and King of the Rainbow.  This process will be judged and included in the overall scores.

April 11th is the Pancake Breakfast and decorating of the stage.  (This is not mandatory as you will miss school to attend this, but we do highly encourage the older teens to be a part of this process)

April 11th there is a mandatory practice on the stage for all categories, each category will be allotted 45 minutes of practice time.  There will be no exceptions for missing this practice.  It is for your safety and everyone else’s safety that each contestant attends this mandatory practice.   This is the one and only practice that we will have on the stage, and you must attend, or you will not be allowed to be in the pageant and there will be no refunds.  If you are age 16 to 19 and arrive late to this practice one point will be deducted.

April 11th 2025 is the pageant during the annual event Boomtown Day.

I understand that we have very limited time to practice.  Unexcused practices will have consequences for all ages.  The judges will be instructed to deduct one point from the final score per unexcused absence.

I understand that if I am more than 30 minutes late to a practice 3 times this will count as 1 absence resulting in the judges deducting one point from the contestants final score.

Practices will only be excused if there is a doctor’s note, a death or a School Related Sport or Club activity.  This does not include outside of school activities such as, but not limited to dance, gymnastic or little league.  It must be directly through your school or a club from your school that you are attending such as Football, Baseball, Basketball, Softball, Cheerleading, FFA, Robotics, Tiger Vision, Priority etc.

I understand that I must actively be involved in the T-Shirt Fundraiser as that is a large contribution to our prize money winnings.  We expect each contestant to sell at least ten shirts or more. All point deduction rules apply to all ages resulting in the judges be instructed to deduct one point from the contestants final score for not selling the expected amount of shirts.

I also understand that all money that is paid in or collected for fundraising, sponsorship or applications is nonrefundable.
