TATER TOT AWARD

            WHAT IS THE “TATOR TOT AWARD"

 

The “Tater Tot Award” was inspired by the original “Tater Tot”, Matthew Snodgrass Jr. 

Tater Tot had a beautiful spirit and has inspired countless amount of people not just in our Community, but all over. 

Matthew Daniel Snodgrass Jr was born in Ocala, Florida on May 10th 2018. 
Although he spent much of his life in the hospital and doctors offices his home was Dunnellon. 

During His treatments, Tator Tot kept his smile and joyful personality even on his darkest days, his smile would light up a room.
Tater Tot enjoyed fishing, racing, riding horses, riding ATV's, playing with toy trucks, playing in the dirt and just being a boy.

Tater Tot wanted to be a contestant in the Tiny Division of the Rainbow River Pageants but sadly he was to ill to make it on stage the day of the event.  Instead that day, his father came and shared Tater Tots story with the audience, once again inspiring our
community. 

On May 7 th 2021 Tator Tot lost his courageous battle to Leukemia.
In honor of Matthew Daniel Snodgrass Jr, "Tater Tot" we here at Rainbow River Pageants will annually give away the "Tater Tot Award" to a individual who has inspired our community to carry on the legacy Matthew Daniel Snodgrass Jr. 

Thank you Tater Tot for being a beautiful person. You will always be remembered. 

           WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE NOMINATED

To nominate someone that you believe has inspired the Dunnellon community.

Nominations are accepted just prior to the Rainbow River Pageants for individuals within the greater Dunnellon area.

There is no age limit for Nominees. Young or old tell us why You feel your Nominee should be considered for the Tator Tot Award.

Perhaps you know someone like Matthew who fought a courageous battle while still inspiring others, or perhaps you know someone that dedicates countless
volunteer hours in our community.

We want to hear about Your local hero.

All Nominations will be reviewed by members of The Rainbow River Pageants committee and one individual will be selected to
receive The 2023 Tator Tot Award. 

                 HOW TO NOMINATE SOMEONE

Nominations must be received by April 6th 2023. The winning nomination will be notified by April 10th 2023

April 15th The winner of The 2023 Tator Tot Award will be recognized during The Rainbow River Pageants.

We ask if Possible, the Nominee or a friend or Family Member be present on the
Day of recognition.

Nominees will agree to have all photos to be published of them in the local newspaper and social media.
